Innovation:
The Geo-Sun ESW (Earth, Sun Water) heating and cooling system is a geo-thermalsystem that combines energy from earth, sun and water resources at their highest levels. The system includes a passive solar water heater back up to utilize the optimum energy curve of each resource. This new hybrid system from Reed Green synchronizes efficiencies for natural heating and cooling and includes a 1700 gallon rainwater collection tank for recycling water for toilets. It is powered by a Trane two ton rotary drive heat sink unit.
Benefits:
By using the synergies of earth, sun and water, the Geo-Sun maximizes energy efficiencies and energy savings in each of the five Blueberry homes. The system has the flexibility of accessing each of the energy sources when needed, depending on per unit cost, recovery cost, time of year, seasons and rates. For example: With Geo Thermal providing a limited amount of heat from the ground, the rainwater can assist in cooling it down or raising it up, thus maximizing the amount homeowners can use.
